The City Beyond is a horizon realm in the 20 Worlds dedicated to technology. It was created by the Mechanists before they were destroyed by the Pirathon. The city can hold 100,000,000 people, and has enough land, hydroponics, food synthesis, recycling and manufacturing capability to support that number indefinitely. Most of the city is at TL/11, but there are a few devices from higher techs available. All of the abilities from the 20 Worlds function, although advanced softech is prone to breakdowns.
The horizon realm is five miles in diameter with a cool grey sky (during the day) which follows a normal 24-hour daily cycle. A great deal of the city is built underground, and structures tend towards tall spires with curved contours. The primary form of transportation is elevator and monorail. High volume areas (entry, library, mall, security) are equipped with teleportation pads capable of transporting an individual to or from the pad. Under normal circumstances, a telepad will not transport to or from a private residence.
Currently, the city is in a "powered down" state where most of the city functions are not active. Though heavily computerized, the city will still require a large number of technologically-savvy people (both operations and maintenance) to become fully active.
